A wonderfully dense chocolate buttermilk cake covered with a dark chocolate ganache. I love how sculpted you can get a cake when working with ganache. To be honest I had great plans of constructing an elaborate chocolate cage to surround this cake but time got the better of me. Instead a simple dusting of cocoa powder through a doily did the trick.
