The first of the Easter crafts

Yesterday, Clara and I got the glue gun out and set about delving into our box of Easter treasures. I had some ideas in mind but a three year old can have very strong views on what looks good. What resulted was a happy compromise and a few nice Easter decorations for the house.

Up first was the ‘Flower Fairy Crown’. A really simple idea where fake flower heads are glued onto a ribbon and tied at the back. I added some elastic to the inside to make it more comfortable. It was a hit.

She then had the fun of adding various ornaments to the branches. Not the most innovative idea but it is providing hours of enjoyment.

Then it was time for me to have some fun. An Easter wreath was a must.

The only extras required for this were a few felt balls for eggs, some green wool and a twig from the woods. It practically made itself! I do love the peeps on the branch.

There are lots more bits and bobs left in the box of Easter magic. I have two or three more Easter wreath designs in mind but, full disclosure, I will need to buy a few polystyrene wreaths to do a proper job. I think it will be worth it. Stay tuned!
